In Memory Of
Arlene June Mills
1937 - 2021
She met her best friend and husband, James Everett Mills at Westinghouse High School. They moved many times before ending in Grove City, Ohio in 1977 and this became their home. Arlene enjoyed her Buckeyes, but never left her Steelers. She was a member of Grove City United Methodist Church. Arlene was a beautiful, gentle, kind soul who put everyone before herself and her generosity knew no bounds. She loved to sing and sew but reading was her passion. Arlene's wit and humor kept us always laughing. She was happiest being surrounded by her family and grandchildren, especially her "pretty little girl" great granddaughter, Rylie June.
Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, James Mills. Arlene is survived by her daughter Karen (Mike T.) Thomas; son, Michael (Susie Wuorinen-Mills) Mills; sister, Linda (Rudy) Vojtko; brother, Rodger Hooper; grandchildren, Marc Thomas (her football buddy), Kelsie June (Evan) Derouaux (her sweetie), Dawson Mills, Lydia and Abby Wuorinen and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 12-1:00 p.m. at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City, Ohio 43123. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to one of her favorite children's charities: Shriners Hospital for Children.
