Rob Chitwood
1982 - 2021
Rob Chitwood, 39, died unexpectedly November 24, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born October 22, 1982, in Columbus. Rob struggled with his mental health and his substance abuse heavily throughout his life. When he was at his best, the most important things to him were his family and his sobriety. He had an immense love for his daughter and on countless occasions he showed her how much he loved her. He was caring and funny and could make anyone laugh, and through his beautiful writing, could make anyone cry. He loved poetry, writing novels, and reading as much as he could. No matter the circumstances, people always wanted to be around him and enjoyed his presence. He was so loved by almost everyone he met and had the most beautiful, yet tortured, soul. He is already greatly missed by everyone who once knew him.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Tom and Bev Flannery, Tate Chitwood and Ila Baum. Surviving in addition to his parents; Sheree Kemp, Tony Williams and Michael Chitwood; his daughter Samantha Chitwood; his brothers Charlie and Sean Chitwood; his sister Rachel Brunello; and his first love/daughter's mother, Angiee Sowers.
A visitation will be Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 3pm to 5pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231.
