In Memory Of
Joyce Adele Springer
1951 - 2022

Joyce Adele Springer, age 70, passed away on January 5, 2022 at Dublin Methodist Hospital from complications after a fall. A graduate of Brookhaven High School, she worked for more than 50 years in commercial banking and had retired from United Bankers Bank just last October. Joyce was a free-spirited, fun-loving person, a loving daughter, sister and sister-in-law, a devoted aunt and great-aunt, and a loyal and lifelong friend to many. She loved her family and friends (and shoes) fiercely and was the sunshine in the room. Her nickname at work was, appropriately, “Joyous”.

One of Joyce’s favorite leisure activities was going to various casinos with friends. She was also a huge fan of thoroughbred racing and loved visiting Old Friends, a Kentucky farm that provides a loving retirement to thoroughbreds whose racing careers have ended.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Marjorie Springer. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister and brother-in-law Lynne and Jack Briggs, niece Heidi (Justin) Bates, nephew Scott (Katey) Briggs, their children Jacob Briggs, Jackson and Layla Bates, and Malia and Donovan Schneck, aunt and uncle John and Narelle Cisler, and a host of much-loved cousins. Oh, how she loved family celebrations and reunions. We will all miss her happy presence and look forward to seeing her again in God’s time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joyce’s favorite charities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Old Friends, Inc.
