Jerry Lee King, age 82, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2022. He was born on February 3, 1940, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to the late Henry and Della King.
Jerry spent his working life at General Motors working as an Inspector for over 30 years. He married his wife, Bonnie, in 1964, and had their only child, Terri, in 1973. Jerry enjoyed spending his time out in the yard, often helping his family and friends with whatever task they needed completed. He was a proud Member of the Masonic Lodge for many years, just recently hitting his 50 year mark.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Terri King; grandsons, Kyle (Megan) and Cameron King; and his siblings, Linda (Cleatus) Sloan, Brenda Caudill, Romeo King and Leroy (Giesla) King.
He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Bonnie King; his parents; and his siblings, Ivan King and Ellarie Jones Caudill.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 11a.m.-1p.m., at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, 43123, where a Funeral Service will begin at 1 p.m. Pastor Danny Carty will officiate. Burial will follow at Alton Cemetery, 6725 Alkire Road, Galloway, Ohio 43119.
