She was born on June 10, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Henry and Idella Bender.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Larry F. Harris; brothers, Harold Bender, Mario Bender and Henry Bender.
Mary is survived by her son, Keith Bender; grandchildren, Keith Bender, Jr., Kamron Bender; siblings, Dwight Bender, Pamela Sullivan, Grethel Kells, LeVon Bender; daughter-in-law, Neissa Bender; dear friend, Charito Cofer-Harrison, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Mary received her faith early in life and had a relationship with the Lord. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister. Mary was adored by all who came into contact with her. She was humble and always made time for her family and friends. Mary was a great cook and family, friends and co-workers alike enjoyed and looked forward to her meals. You could always count on her for a great time. Mary was a hard worker and dedicated to her career.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231 with a funeral service immediately following at 4:00 pm also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Larry, at Dayton National Cemetery.
