James D. Torrence, 58, of Westerville OH and formerly of Barrington IL, passed away on July 5, 2022.

James is survived by his parents, Antoinette Torrence and David J. Torrence; his daughters, Kara Torrence and Kristen Torrence, and their mother, Monika Torrence; his siblings, Richard J. (Lisa), Julie (Faith), and David A. (Tanya); nephews and nieces Mitchell, Sam, Chloe and David J. Torrence, and Natalia Lang; and his aunts and uncles Tom Bertin (Margo), Diane Bertin, William Bertin (Laurie), James R. Torrence (deceased), Rosemary Torrence, Betty Mormino (deceased), Jeanne Hauer (Richard) and Mary Jane Dike (Dale); as well as his many cousins and friends.

Jim was a dedicated and loving father; compassionate, kind and empathetic. He was a caring friend; always willing to help others. He was hard working, intelligent and thoughtful. Additionally, he had vibrant curiosity and appreciation for the universe, music and nature. He owned HRMS Consulting Solutions; was a graduate of St. Viator High School, Marquette University and DePaul University. Jim died peacefully in his sleep on July 5, 2022. Burial will be private.

His family will receive friends at a visitation from 9:30am-10:30am followed by a funeral mass on Saturday August 20, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Inverness, IL.
