Debbie J. Hanes, 63, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in Westerville, Ohio.

She was born on November 17, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio to Charles and Arlene Kitchen.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 42 years, David Hanes; son, Tyler (AJ) Hanes; sister, Marsha (Brad ) Beck Kitchen; niece, Morgan (Brandon) Chase and a host of family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Sharon Woods Church, 5959 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus, Ohio, 43229 with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Blendon Central Cemetery.

Debbie served the Lord faithfully for over 30 years at Sharon Woods Church in many roles, first as a volunteer, then as Treasurer and most recently as Office Manager. Debbie's favorite bible verse is Joshua 1:9. It says "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sharon Woods Church in Debbie's honor.
