Jean Wimer, age 94, of Columbus passed on January 28, 2023. She was born on July 31, 1928 to the late William and Maude Gamble. In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her sister, Rita Helfrich and brother-in-law, Jack Helfrich.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, William; daughters, Beth (Tom) Krouse, Lisa (Gary) Sherman; grandchildren, Denney (Jodi) Loper, Karrie(Mark) Fansler, Bylle-Jean Loper, Emilee Anne Sherman; great-grandchildren, Lizzie Morello, Addison Fansler, Henry Morello, Eli Loper, Emerson Fansler; and many other family and friends.
Jean loved her family and friends. She was an educator for over forty years and retired from Columbus Public Schools. Jean enjoyed sewing, reading, traveling and was the best cook ever. She will be forever missed and thought of daily.
