In Memory Of
Jeffrey Lawson
1959 - 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jeffrey L. Lawson, a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and friend. Jeff passed away peacefully on March 18, 2023, at the age of 63, surrounded by his loved ones.

Jeff was born on October 13, 1959, and grew up in a loving family with his brothers Thurman, Mark, Charlie, Barry and sister Joline Lawson. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Fanny Lawson, and brothers Charlie and Barry Lawson and grandson Ethan Michael Torres.

Jeff will be remembered for his kindness and generosity towards his family and friends. He always had a helping hand to offer and was never too busy to lend an ear or offer a word of encouragement. Jeff loved to spend time with his family, particularly his wife Barbara Rock (Susie), his children Michael, Jenny and Brandi Lawson, and his stepson Todd Gaunt. He was also a devoted grandfather to Ethan Torres, Sidney Lawson, Kadin Alexander Watson, Robert Aaron, Hunter Lee Walthall, Trenton Wesley Fairchild, Sofia Irving and Trace Waler Lawson, Brandon and Bailey Gaunt, who brought great joy to his life.

In addition to his family, Jeff had many passions in life. He enjoyed fishing, working with his hands, and tinkering with cars. Jeff was a jack of all trades and was always willing to help with any project or task. He also loved music and was a talented guitarist who enjoyed singing and playing for his loved ones.
Jeff's faith in the Lord was an important part of his life, and he found comfort and strength in his beliefs. He was a kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jeff's work at Chandler Arms Apartments brought him many friends and allowed him to meet his best friend Denise Blair, with whom he shared many happy memories.

Jeff's legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched. His memory will forever be cherished, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help with his funeral cost. Jeff's courageous battle against his illness went on for a long time. He is now finally out of pain and at rest with the LORD!
