Richard Wells, 82, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in Marengo, OH. He was born in Columbus on September 6, 1933.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sheila; and brother, Arthur.
He is survived by wife of 28 years, Sally Wells; children, Debra (JR) Newsome and Lisa (Roger) Ball; step-children, Dale Eastwood and Leslie (John) LePerrie; grandchildren, Jennifer Newsome, Caleb Ball, Lyndsey, Laura and Blake Elkins; sister, Mairland (Bob) Mundy; and many other loving family members and friends.
Richard was a member of Operating Engineers Local 18 for 50 years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Private Family Service will be held in Richard's honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kindred Hospice of Knox County, 112 Harcourt Rd. #4, Mt. Vernon, OH 43050.
