David J. "Dave" Weissman
1964 - 2016

David Weissman, 52, of Westerville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2016. He was born to Stanley and Jean (Adler) Weissman in the District of Columbia, Maryland on February 19, 1964. He is preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents; many cousins and other close family members too numerous to name.

Dave is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kimberly; children, Kelli Renae Weissman, Blake Ryan Weissman; sister, Ruth Mosley; mother, Jean Weissman. David's loss will also be felt deeply by many special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family members too numerous to name.

He was a multimedia developer by trade as well as a mentor, coach, experienced journalist, husband, father, encourager, teacher, active and recognized member in the Central Ohio journalism community. He was the creator of Columbus Wired.net and covered Central Ohio sporting events of all kinds as well as local community news and events. Dave gave his time to his children's school as a coach at Westerville South High School and the local community sports organizations. He was a member of Christian Life Fellowship Church in Gahanna. His loss will be felt by everyone whose life he touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Dave's memory be honored with memorial donations to Newcomer Funeral Home, C/O Kimberly Weissman, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231 to help offset expenses.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 10-11 a.m. with a celebration of life to begin at 11 a.m. at Christian Life Fellowship Church, 830 Morrison Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
