Tina Andrews
1964 - 2015
She was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. She often set such an example on the students, as well as those that she worked with, that on numerous different occasions, she was awarded several "Outstanding Citizen" awards. At home, Tina was just as dedicated at being a mother to her one and only child, Brittany, age 25. Brittany and Tina shared a very close mother-daughter relationship and after graduating from Ohio University and learning of her mother's Leukemia diagnosis Brittany moved to Florida to be with and care for her Mom. Tina was also survived by her devoted and loving husband, Bobby Andrews. Bobby and Tina were married for an amazing 8 years and in Bobby's words, "It was the best 8 years of my life." The abounding love and laugher that was felt when in her presence was like no other feeling. What a hoot she truly was. Making people smile and playing corn hole were two things she was great at! She will be dearly missed.
Tina is survived by immediate family Lisa Young-VanGundy (Sister), Steve Martin (Brother), Alan VanGundy (Brother), and Judy Estremera-VanGundy (Sister). Tina is also survived by her 5 step-children, Bobby's children, whom she loved as her own. They were, Theresa Strickland, Bobby Andrews Jr., Lisa Ward, Lori Bowling, and Michael Andrews. Apart from these family members, Tina had many, many loving nieces, nephews and other family members.
We will be holding a showing and memorial service for Tina on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH from 11am-5pm.
