Daniel T. Smith, 83 of Columbus, passed away at his residence on November 28, 2015. Born on April 18, 1932 to the late John Ross and Fannie Ethel (Legg) Smith in Putnam County, WV. Daniel served in the U.S Army and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 495 and member of the Amvets and DAV. He loved the Lord, his family, horses and Oldsmobiles. Survived by wife of 63 years Linda (Hook) Smith, daughters Gloria Polesovsky and Christine Smith, grandchildren Shawn Watrous, Michelle (Steve) Blackburn, Valerie (Robert) Shields and Andrea Bartlett, great grandchildren Alycia Watrous, Derek Watrous, Madison Newsome, Mackenzie Rzepczynski, Jacek Rzepczynski and Emma Blackburn, great great grandson Hunter Dunn, siblings Lester Smith and Carolyn (Allen) Nance, best friend Dave Grimsley and 4 grandpups. Preceded in death by great granddaughter Dalynaca Watrous, siblings Nellie, Velsia, Pearl, Randall, Doll and Edna.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 11am until time of service at 1pm. Entombment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery Columbus, OH.
