John Neal Wilson, age 69, of Reese Station, OH, transitioned to his heavenly home on April 20, 2017 with the comfort and care received from the Zusman House. Born in Huntington, West Virginia on January 14, 1948 and raised on a farm in Ironton, OH before moving to Reese Station, OH.
John was a retired employee of DLA Land and Maritime, Columbus, OH. He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran where he proudly served on board the USS Springfield (CLG-7) in the Mediterranean Sea, and the USS Naugatuck (YTM-753) at New York City Harbor. John was a child of God and saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. John was a member of Reese Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union since 1963 where he last served as First Elder and found it a joy to be working alongside his Pastor and best friend. John was an ordained minister in the Holiness Community Church of Logan, OH. John worked diligently to organize and become co-founder of the Tri-B Wings Motorcycle Club of Obetz, OH. John loved old cars, old trucks, trains, and flying his airplane.
Husband of loving wife Beverly; father of Jason, Joshua, and John (Ashley) Wilson of Columbus, OH; grandfather of Brody and Jase Wilson; best friend to Katie Linn (shih tzu dog); brother of Joyce (Rick) Thompson of Ashville, OH; nephew of Aunt Alice (Fred deceased) Allen of Ft. Scott, KS and Aunt Faye (Newt) Shelton of Hume, MO; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by loving and Christian parents, Ancil (Leroy) and Ina Wilson.
Friends and family may visit Reese Chapel, Church of Christ in Christian Union, 4747 Ridge Street, Columbus, OH on Tuesday April 25, 2017 beginning at 10am until time of service at 11am, officiated by Rev.
