1936 - 2017

Harry Augustus Parks, 81, of Grove City, OH, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on June 25, 2017. He was preceded in death by parents, Sherman and Ella Parks; and son, Jeff Armstrong.

Harry is survived by wife of 44 years, Phyllis; son, Chuck (Kelly) Armstrong; daughter, Kelli (Jeff) Karlich; son, Harry Alan Parks; daughter, Nancy Clary; grandchildren, Rachel, Ryan, Evan, Sarah; many dear friends and his church family.

Harry served in the US Navy and retired from AK Steel in Ashland, KY. He was a member of First Baptist Church of South Point and most recently, New Life Baptist Church in Grove City. Harry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, coaching baseball, and singing at the Evans Senior Center and at his church.

Visitation Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Monday, July 3, 2017 at 9:30am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, OH at 1:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harry's memory to New Life Baptist Church for the building fund, P.O. Box 187, Grove City, OH 43123.
