He is survived by Betty, his wife of 57 years, sons, Jeffrey (Marion) Lawless, Joseph (Laura) Lawless; and daughter Jean (Paul) Price. Jim’s life centered on family and his greatest joys were his grandchildren. He spent hours playing tiddly winks, wiffle ball, basketball and board games and even taught them all to play poker. He was a large part of their lives and was very proud of their accomplishments. Jim was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church and worked for 38 years as a “Telephone Man” for Ohio Bell, AT&T and Lucent. When his children were younger he was a 4-H Advisor and assistant baseball coach. Jim took pride in our country and served in the US Army Reserve, Jackson Township Trustee, Republican Central Committeeman and as an election poll worker. He was an avid Buckeye fan and enjoyed going to Columbus Bluejackets games. After retirement, Jim developed a love of playing golf.
