Violet "Jean" (Moore) Peake, age 90, passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2017. She was surrounded by her loving family during the last days. She was born in Green County, Ohio on May 25, 1927 to Andrew "Delbert" and Louise (Davis) Moore. She worked at Fisher Body a division of General Motors from 1948-1989. She also worked at Greyhound Post House, Marina Restaurant and Smitty's Restaurant all in Columbus, Ohio. She was baptized at the Church of Christ in Medina, Ohio. She is survived by three children: Trena (Les) Edmonds, Brunswick, Ohio; Gary (Lisa) Sherman, Gahanna, Ohio; Claudia (Robert-deceased) Stotler, Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her son Karroll Bandy; parents Delbert and Louise Moore; two sisters Betty Bartley and Dolly Wells; two brothers Dale and Robert Moore; and grandson Gary S. Sherman. She has 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. She is survived by her three brothers; Lonie (Connie) Moore, Colorado; Kenny (Debbie) Moore, Richwood, Ohio; and Larry (Penny) Moore, Newark, Ohio.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 11 am.

Interment immediately following at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave., Columbus, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to National Church Residences Hospice, 2245 North Bank Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43220.
