James Kelly Wells, Sr. 86, of Westerville, passed away May 8, 2019. James “Kelly” was born April 20, 1933 to John and Dora (Anderson) Wells.

He regularly attended Linworth Baptist Church. Kelly worked at International Nickel Company, now known as Huntington Alloys, in Huntington, WV, as a District Scout Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, at Doran and Associates in Pittsburgh, PA, and in his "retirement years" as a greeter at Meijer on N. Hamilton Road in Columbus. He loved Jesus, his family, photography, and hiking. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known as "Mr. Terrific".

He was married to his high school sweetheart, Juliette “Judy” Porter, for 66 years. Kelly will be deeply missed by his wife; children Denise (Mark) McDaniel, Allison (Bill) Kelley, daughter-in-law Dianne Wells; grandchildren Ben (Val) McDaniel, Stacie (Matt) Clark, Mark McDaniel, John (Masita) Poray, David (Courtney) Poray, Chad (Tatiana) Kelley, Ashley Wells (fiancé Adam Vetter), Zach Wells (fiancée Ashley Campanella), John Kelly Wells; great-grandchildren Tricia (Logan) Keeran, Brice, Katie, Hayden McDaniel, Amber, Tim, Garrett Clark, Rhys, Rylee Poray, Olivia Elkins, Gavin, Hudson Kelley, Gwenie Vetter, Julian, Brady, Greyson, Bexley Wells; great-great-grandchild Nolan Keeran; sisters Lois Doran, Barbara Sheils along with many other family and friends.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, two children Becky Poray and Kelly Wells and his grandson Tyler Keckler.

Visitation will be Monday, May 13, 2019, from 6pm to 7pm with funeral services to follow at 7pm at Linworth Baptist Church 6200 Linworth Rd. Worthington, OH with Pastor Brent Miller officiating. Burial will be at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Linworth Baptist Church Building Project.
