Shayne Joseph Mogan, 45 of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Milton & Huntington, WV died Thursday, May 9, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born June 12, 1973 in Columbus to Bonnie L. Ross and Joseph Mogan of Columbus, who survive him.

Shayne attended St. Francis Desales High School & graduated from Milton High School, WV. He attended Marshall University and Columbus State. Shayne was a proud USAF Veteran having served in the Gulf War. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Local in both Columbus and Huntington, WV.

In addition to his parents, Shayne is survived by his sons, Ross Mogan of Columbus, Elliott Robertson Mogan of Huntington, WV, his former wife, Erin Robertson of Huntington, WV, his stepmother, Kim Mogan, sisters Erika, Ellyn & Abby Mogan, Aunt Terry Bennett, Uncles Michael Mogan & Robert Ross, niece Aireana, many cousins all of Columbus; stepsisters Kelly Rawlston-Priest of NC, Rachel Rawlston-Harrell of Biloxi, MS.

He was preceded in death by Grandparents Bob “Red” Ross, June Ross-Tullis & Blenn, Lerease Mogan; brother Elliott Mogan, sister Lana Mogan, uncles Al Mogan, Doug, Bill Ross and his stepfather, Roy Rawlston.

Shayne will be remembered for his animated story telling, sense of humor, talent for creating and the fierce love he had for his children, who will miss him every day.

Per his request there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, there will be a Go Fund Me for the family.

“He said come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” -Matthew 11:28.
