Roberta was born November 3, 1931 in Smithton, PA the daughter of the late Martin VanBuren and Ethel (Shupe) Forsythe. She is a graduate of South Huntington High School and Douglas Business School in PA. She worked for the US Airforce in the Pentagon in Washington, DC during the Korean War. She married Gerald W. Forsythe August 23, 1952. She lived in PA, DC, MD and OH. She was a homemaker, a girl scout leader and a former member of the Eastern Star, Hilliard Presbyterian Church and the Smithton American Legion.
She is survived by her loving husband Gerald of 67 years; son Gary (Terri), son-in-law Richard Clem; grandchildren Christine (Kevin) Phillips, Grant (Renae) and Garrett Forsythe; great- grandchildren Blayne Phillips and Charlotte Forsythe
In additional to her parents she is proceeded in death by her daughter Susan (Forsythe) Clem, brothers Wayne and Wilbur Forsythe, and sister Virginia Delia.

Internment at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, PA.
Memorial Services Saturday, September 28, 2019 graveside at 1:00.
Visitation with family at the Hampton Inn Belle Vernon, PA 3 -5 pm.
