In Memory Of
Jeffrey S. Rice
1973 - 2019

Jeffrey S. Rice, of Grove City, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 1, 2019. He was born on April 3, 1973.

He is survived by his daughter Kaitlin, son Nicholas, former wife Kimberly, father Jeffrey D.(Cathy), mother Stephanie, siblings Michael (Heather), Timothy, Brett (Carissa), Eric, and Olivia. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and long time friends.

One of Jeff’s greatest passions was football. Jeff truly enjoyed family gatherings to watch The Ohio State Buckeyes, and the “There is always next year” Cleveland Browns. He was proud of his many years of coaching middle school and high school football. His most memorable year was spent coaching along side his dad and brother and with his son playing on the field. Whether it was watching sports together, fishing or just hanging out in the garage with the Mustang, Jeff referred to Nick as his “best friend.”

Jeff also loved spending time with his family boating and golfing. The best days on the golf course were spent trying to out perform his daughter Kaitlin, which would happen just every once in awhile. He would get frustrated but then end with “That’s my girl!” He sincerely cherished their time together on the softball fields and their late night father-daughter conversations.

Jeff was fun and energetic but most of all, he was a kind and caring man. He truly loved his family and friends. We will all cherish the great memories in honor of his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City. To honor Jeff's wishes, we ask that everyone wear Ohio State apparel. Go Bucks!

In lieu of flowers, to those wishing to make memorial donations, please consider making them to his children.
