In Memory Of
Edgar Stanley Vitek
1928 - 2019

Edgar Stanley Vitek (Father Vitek) born July 12, 1928, found his way to his eternal kingdom in the early hours of December 02, 2019, at the golden age of 91.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers and is survived by one sister, children, grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends.

Edgar was a Father to all. He was ordained as a Redemptorist Priest and was a clergyman at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Baltimore and a Chaplain in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later married, became a successful businessman and never stopped doing the Lord’s work spreading the Word of God.

He knew no boundaries when it came to knowledge and always strived to learn new things. He attended seminars, classes, made trips to the library, and helped his grandchildren with their homework well into his eighties.

Edgar spent his final years enjoying his blessings, sharing his wisdom, and spending time with his family and friends. He will always remain in our hearts.

His body will be laid to rest at Northlawn Memory Gardens, 7060 OH-3, Westerville, OH 43082, with a short graveside service at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 10, 2019, but his soul will live eternally.

In lieu of flowers please make a charitable donation in Edgar’s name to My Sister’s Place Women’s Center at https://www.catholiccharities-md.org/donate/.
