Kevin Ernest Moyer
A bright shining star

Kevin was born January 5, 1977 and went to be with the Lord, December, 2019. Kevin was intellectually gifted, infinitely talented and biblically astute. Kevin was baptized in Jesus’ Name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost as a young child under the pastorate of his grandfather, District Elder Ernest L. Hardy; and after his grandfather’s retirement, transferred to Grace Apostolic Church under the pastorate of his uncle, Bishop James W. Gaiters. He was an ordained minister of Greater Emmanuel International Fellowship, Inc. while a member of Zion Christian Assembly, pastored by Bishop William M. Polley. He was warmly welcomed into Grace and Mercy Fellowship Center where Bishop Roy C. Lisath was not only his pastor, but his friend. Kevin spent his life in the Lord’s vineyard as not only a dynamic preacher, but also as a dedicated soul winner, Bible teacher, soloist, organizer, prison minister and worship leader. He attended Columbus City Schools and graduated from Fort Hayes Academic High School and Fort Hayes Career Center specializing in the vocal music career, being declared by his teacher as the most talented student she had ever taught. He attended Columbus State University and Liberty University where he received an academic award. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, District Elder Ernest and Sister Bertha Hardy. He is survived by his mother, Carole, daughter, Maria and son, Noah Moyer, Columbus, Ohio; father, Larry and grandmother, Mary Moyer, Roanoke Virginia; and a host of relatives and friends in Columbus and Roanoke.

A graveside service will be held at 10AM on Wednesday January 15, 2020 at Maplewood Cemetery 4585 Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road - New Albany, OH.
