John Wayne Dillard, long time resident of Columbus, Ohio passed away at Grant Medical Center on March 15, 2020.

John was born on April 5, 1945 in Pocahontas, Virginia to the late Julia Ann Dillard and James Elwood Dillard Sr. John was the oldest of 12 siblings. He was married to his late wife Brenda Dillard for 50 years. He graduated from Columbus East High School in 1964. He worked for many years at Westinghouse and retired from General Motors after working over 25 years for the company. He also served in the United States Air Force. John enjoyed fishing, football and being surrounded by family and friends. He always had a way of making everyone in the room laugh and smile.

John is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Dillard and his mother and father, Julia and James Dillard Sr.

John is survived by his children, Michael Dillard and Lisa (James) Keyes, siblings, James (Tammy) Dillard, Raymond (Nozipo) Glenn, Robert (Sharon) Dillard, Charles (Russann) Dillard, Henry (Falisha) Dillard, Valencio (Mona) Dillard, David Dillard, Charlene (Eric) Tillman, Florence Taylor, Ann (Dwight) Williams, Keith (Shelly) Dillard, God-Sisters, Carol Beth Wade, Jennifer Williams, grandsons, Quori Burks, Shawn ( Jasmine) Burks, grand-daughter, Mikaila Dillard, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Ronda Brown-Daniels, Allison Blake and Karen Stevens for their support.
