She was born on January 23, 1937 to the late Frank and Sylvia (Deckman) Mason.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Brendan Glenn; daughter, Patricia Tarantelli Patterson; sister, Sylvia Reynolds; in-laws, Juanita (Brendan), and Glen Eckfeld.
Surviving family includes; sons, James (Joann), Thomas (Carol), William (Tonya); grandchildren, Brendan Joseph (Michelle), James Michael (Jessica), Jennifer (Erika), Jordan, Taylor (Andrew), Nicolas, Cody, Samuel Aaron, Luke, Ashley, Anna Marie, Amanda, Corey; great grandchildren, Arielle, Maximilian, Edison, Eric; step grandchildren, Kirsten (Andy), Clayton (Jacquelin); step great- grandchildren, Adelaide, Avalie, Luca; brother-in-law, William (Sandy); sister-in-law, Kay Eckfeld; son-in-law; Jeff Patterson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Irma was a dedicated Trauma Nurse at The Ohio State University Hospital for over 25 years. She was an Eastern Star and member of the Clintonville Ladies Club. Irma was a servant to all. She was a dedicated wife and mother always putting others needs before her own.
She was an avid traveler, a ruthless card player, an inquisitive, fun-loving, and adventurous woman who enjoyed spending time with her girlfriends.
She will always be remembered for being "tough as nails", while remaining selfless and generous to her family and the community.
She will be truly missed by those who loved her.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18th, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a service immediately following. As per the families request masks are recommended.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Hospice of Central Ohio.
