In Loving Memory of Nancy Anne Redick
1931 - 2020

Nancy Anne Redick, 89, of Westerville, Ohio, changed her address on November 19, 2020. She was born in Xenia, OH on August 22, 1931 to the late Ralph and Katharine (Carlile) Donges.

She is preceded in death by her sister, JoAnne Sale and brother, William Donges.

Surviving family includes life partner, Roger Redick; daughters: Lynda (Martin) Richardson, Judith (Michael) Prasse, Karen (John) Palmer; and son, Richard (Heather) Redick. Grandchildren: Nolan, Eric Richardson; Jessica (Jeremiah), Stephanie, Johnny Palmer; Tiffany (Evan) Michael. Family friend, Cayla Timler. Great grandchildren; Aubree, Jacob, Vincent, Olivia.

She graduated from Central High School in Xenia, Ohio in 1949 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Miami University in 1953. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was active in The National Society of the Daughters of The American Revolution (Ann Simpson Davis Chapter) 1962 until her death. She served at both the State and National levels as Page, Marshall, Southeast District Director, Recording Secretary and as Chapter Regent twice. She was a member of Cameo Society. She served for many years on the Resolutions Committee and was Co-Chairman of The National Defense Committee. She was the Outstanding Junior Member of Ohio in 1967.

She was active in the PTA and a Leader in The Girl Scout Club when her daughters were young. She also was active in The Boy Scouts with her son and instrumental in him pursuing concert band in middle school and marching band in high school. She was one of the original founders establishing Columbus' first Ballet Company (Columbus Civic Ballet). She served on the Board of the (Civic) Ballet Metropolitan Company from 1973 to 1976 serving in many roles and was instrumental in saving The Ohio Theater from demolition. She was an usher at The Ohio Theater and she also worked the exhibit registration at The Greater Columbus Convention Center.

She tutored students at the elementary level for many years. She volunteered part-time at The Worthington Cancer Thrift Shop.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 25th 2020 at 1:00 pm at Blendon Central Cemetery in Westerville, Ohio.
