Jule Rose Reuss, 77, of Columbus, Ohio passed on Tuesday, January, 5, 2021. Born on February 22, 1944 in Lima,she was the daughter of the late Cecile Elizabeth Jett Sweeny and Frank Edward Sweeny. Jule attended South Middle School and graduated from Lima Senior High School in June 1962.
Jule met and married Paul J. Reuss from Nebraska and they married July 27, 1968 at St. Rose Catholic Church. They made their first home in Gomer, Ohio.

Jule and Paul had 4 children:
Jennifer Anne, Steven Paul, Monica Rose and David Louis Reuss. Jule returned to the Ohio State University in Lima, Ohio in 1981.She graduated from OSU in June 1984 with a BA in Education. Jule's passion was teaching. She substitute taught in various public schools in Lima until she found her favorite group of students: preschoolers. Jule taught for many years at the Lima Community Action Head Start Program.

Jule is survived by her children: Jennifer (Mike) Elicson, Sunbury, Ohio; Steven Reuss of Bellevue, Nebraska: Monica Martin and David Reuss of Columbus, Ohio; her grandchildren: Michael and Caroline Elicson, Sunbury, Ohio and grandsons: Gregory, Maxwell, Matthew and Nicholas Martin of Columbus, Ohio.

Jule is also survived by her two brothers and sisters in law: Ed and Marty Sweeny of Galion, Ohio; Bob and Kathy Sweeny of Ohio; Sister-law; Cecilia(Reuss) Skalak of Columbus, Nebraska, sister and brother in-law; Phyllis(Reuss) and Tom Foland, Omaha, Nebraska; brother and sister-law; Larry and Mary Reuss, Neligh, Nebraska; sister and brother-in law, Mary Jane(Reuss) and Rod Vyff, Cheyenne, Wyoming; and brother and sister-in law; John and Diane Reuss of Weeping Water, Nebraska, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Jule is preceded in death by her husband Paul, who passed March 19,2019.
