He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Ruth (Black) Rawson; sister, Mary Ann Baker.
John is survived by wife of 71 years, Barbara Rawson; children, David (Joyce) Rawson, Beth (Curtis) Steck, Jeff (Cathy) Rawson, Gary (Karen) Rawson, and Chris Rawson; grandchildren, Jim, Amy, Pam, Kenneth, Benjamin, Tiffany, Lacey, Tracie, Brian, Kellie, and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Audrina, Kyle, Ryan, Tyler, Hailey, Stella, Charlotte, and Phoenix.
John enjoyed woodworking, model trains, and yard work. He was very involved with St. John Lutheran Church for many years.
Memorial Gathering Monday, March 8, 2021 from 3pm until the time of Memorial Service at 4pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Reverend Seth Jersild to officiate. Masks are required for attendance.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bella Care Hospice c/o the Celebrate Life Foundation, 110 Polaris Parkway, Suite 302, Westerville, OH 43082-7054 or St. John Lutheran's Memorial Fund, 3220 Columbus St., Grove City, OH 43123.
