Matthew M. Mosser, of Westerville, OH passed away at the age of 63 after battling cancer. Matthew was born in Akron, OH to the late Pauline (Jacobs) Sikora and Lawrence Mosser. Matthew was survived by his siblings Fred Mosser, Vince Mosser, Lenny Mosser and Carolyn Mosser; children Jacob Mosser and Janice (Mosser) Johnston; grandchildren Lucy Johnston and Katie Johnston; and many nieces and nephews. He served as a medic in the Army and retired after many years as a civil servant working in the water department in Akron, OH and Columbus, OH. He loved riding his bicycle and motorcycle equally. His favorite quote when riding a bicycle and passing a motorcycle was "Remember your roots". He could always make anyone laugh with one of the many jokes that he memorized or came up with. He was an avid dog lover, who has joined his former dogs Ziggy and Pete, and will live on through his dog Buddy. Matthew was a loving brother, father and grandfather who will be remembered for his strength and sense of humor. A visitation service will be held on June 26, 2021 from 2pm to 4pm at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231.
