In Memory Of
Donnie R. Wilder
1951 - 2021
Donnie worked over 30 years with American General Life Insurance (formerly National Life Insurance of Nashville, Tennessee) including many years in management roles in Columbus, Hamilton, Middletown and Connersville, Indiana. He received his LUTC and LUTCF certifications and licensure from Miami University. He won many trips (8) across the country for his leadership roles in the company and was proud to receive the National Sales Achievement Award from The National Sales Association of Life Underwriters during his tenure. He attended the University of SC and received an associate degree in management and turf grass science. Since the age of 12, Donnie played and loved the game of golf. His first job was a caddie at age 13 at the Franklin Golf Club. After retiring from American General Life, he worked in the pro shop at the Pinnacle Golf Course in Grove City. His last role was as an electrician for the IBEW Local 683 in which he retired in 2013. He said being an electrician would allow him more time to play golf at the Pinnacle Golf Course. In recent years he had to give up the game due to health concerns, but passed along the “love of the game” to his grandson, Braeden and his love for the Cincinnati Bengals to his sons. Donnie was an active member of the Church Next Door on Feder Rd. where he had many friends.
The visitation will be on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 4-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City, Ohio 43123. The Funeral Service will begin on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. followed by procession to Sunset Cemetery.
