Florence Lavern Taylor, longtime resident of Columbus, Ohio, Gained her Wings on September 9, 2021. Florence was born September 13,1958 in Bluefield, W.Va. Florence was preceded in death by her Parents James Elwood Dillard, Sr and Julia Ann Dillard also Brother John Wayne Dillard.

Florence was a very private person. She will truly be missed!

She graduated from East High School in 1976. Worked at St. Anthony Hospital and many years at Grant Hospital. Gave her life to Christ at 7th Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her Family and would go out of her way to help them. Loved going on trips, knitting and crocheting.

Florence is survived by her children Tonya Nimmoms, Miles Smith and Jasmine Taylor, siblings James(Tammy) Dillard, Raymond(Nozipo)Glenn, Robert(Sharon) Dillard, Charles (Russann) Dillard, Henry(Falisha) Dillard, Vallencio(Mona) Dillard, David Dillard, Charlene(Eric) Tillman, Ann(Dwight) Williams, Keith(Shelly) Dillard God-Sister Carol Beth Wade and Jennifer Williams. Grandchildren AshleyTaylor, Natalie Nimmons, Jeremiah Nimmons, Jalen Doby, Mekhi Smith, Milani Smith, Anari Smith Ariya Smith, Jordan Smith, Zion Echols, Laniaha Echols,Ameir David Smith, Great Grandson Zi’doryan Doby and numerous Nephews, Nieces and Cousins. Life time Friend Joyce Rivers. Friend Kristine Johnson. Many other friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 10-11 a.m., at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, 43123, where a Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m.
