In Memory Of
Mildred Mills
1930 - 2021
Mildred was a devoted and loving mother to Cecil (Debbie) Bower, Teresa (Craig) Pistner, John (Rachel) Mills, and Glenn Matthew (Lisa) Mills. Devoted grandmother to Cyndi, Brenda, Ashley, William, Wesley, Madeline, Emma, Glenn Matthew Jr., Justin, Chase, and Alexis; great-grandchildren Tori, Christopher, Lauren, Logan, Taylor, Austin, Cameron and Mya. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends too numerous to mention. Mildred was a faithful friend to many who held special places in her heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Glenn J. Mills, parents Gilbert and Laura (Briggs) Fox and step-father Charles William Snack; siblings Vioma, Vera, Gilbert and Marilyn.
Mildred was a devoted Christian and served as an Elder and Clerk of Session at Fairmoor Presbyterian Church before joining Central College Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed making decorative cakes for her family and friends; during the holidays and special events her home always had the scent of home baked cakes, cookies and candies. Mildred was a member of the Gahanna Senior Center and was instrumental in forming a Wii bowling league, participated in their newsletter, played bingo, traveled and line danced. She was an avid card player and entertained her card comrades. She was always so very proud of her winnings even though it was a handful of pennies or a miniature candy bar.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 11am until the time of service at 12:30pm at the Ellsworth Chapel at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Rd., Westerville with Pastor David Redding officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad Street.
Those who wish may make a memorial contribution in her name to GRIN (Gahanna Residence in Need), 165 Granville St., Gahanna, OH 43230.
