Sharon Lynn Fox, 65, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away the 9th of September peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. Shari was born on August 4, 1957 in Boise, Idaho & was lovingly raised by her Mother, Leah Fox & Father, Harry Fox in Columbus, Ohio. Shari loved spending time with her kitties, having lunch with friends, watching football & basketball (or any sport really), shopping dates with her Daughter & drinking McDonald’s mocha frappe’s. Shari was a graduate of Northland High School Class of 1975 & went on to receive her Associate Degree from Columbus State Community College. Shari worked for the Columbus Dispatch for over 25 years. She then went on to work for 97.1 The Fan until she retired in 2019. Shari will be deeply missed by her daughter Randi Smith (Ted) & all those who knew her, including her long time partner; Gary Edwards, Brother; Ken Fox (Heidi), Sister; Phyl Fox, Nieces; Kyna Fox (Josh), Aryn Fox (Bud), Taylor Fox (Tessa & Devin), Taylor Howard & Kayla Howard, Sisters-in-Law; Darla Brabson (John) & Becky Howard, Brothers-in-Law; Timothy Howard & Bruce Doolin (Melissa), and First Husband & Father to her only child; Danny Doolin. Shari was preceded in death by her Mother; Leah Fox, Father; Harry Fox, Mother in Law; Sammie Howard, & Father in Law; Denver Howard. Visitation will be Sunday, the 25th of September from 2 to 4 p.m. at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus, Ohio. There will be a memorial service to honor her memory as she has been chosen to be cremated. Shari loved flowers & are a welcomed gift, however if preferred, memorial contributions can be made to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in Shari’s name.
