Zelus L Fields, 63, of Grove City, OH passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 15th, 2022, succumbing to his illness. He was born on July 14, 1959, to Zelus and Trebia Fields, in Mound Bayou, Mississippi.

Zelus worked in the Department of Corrections for the State of Ohio, where he retired in 2013 as a Major.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Zelus and Trebia Fields; brothers, William Fields and Terry Fields; wife, Sally Fields; niece, Latitia Bradfield, and son, Cameron J. Fields.

He is survived by his son, Xavier (Lisann) Fields; grandchildren, Cameron L. Fields and Remington G. Fields; sisters, Brenda Lewis, Elvia (Gerone) Hearn, Leola Fields; nieces and nephews, Tiffany N. Lewis, David L. Fields, Amanda R. Fields, Gerone C. Hearn, and Camden D. Hearn; numerous great nieces and nephews; special grandchildren, Audrie, Jackson and Colton and a host of family and friends.

He was a good father, grandfather and friend who tried his best to be a better man each day.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123, with funeral services immediately following.
