She was born on March 17, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Howard and Margaret Fisher.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Carter, Sr., sister, Martha and brother, Willie.
Marie is survived by sons, Richard (Shirley) Carter, Jr., Ronald (Lynn) Carter, Robert (Jeannie) Carter, Raymond (Paula) Carter; 23 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Doreen and Sharon and a host of family and friends.
Marie retired from the housekeeping department at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She enjoyed sitting on the porch watching birds and squirrels. She spent time associating with her neighbors. Marie loved her family and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231 with a funeral service immediately following at 7:00 pm.
