James S. Morgan 83 of Hilliard passed on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was born July 27, 1939 in Dunkirk, Ohio to John and Florence Elizabeth Morgan who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his loving wife of 52 years Beverly J. Morgan, 2 siblings Ronald Morgan and David Morgan.

Survivors include his daughter Elizabeth (Ronald) Maby, grandchild Brandon (Amber) Maby, great grandchildren Dylan, Iszac, Brandon Jr. and Hannah, siblings Robert Morgan, Carol Morgan, Richard Morgan, Linda Kyle and Karen Flowers, sister and brother in laws Barbara Hayter, Brenda (Ray) Curry, Janet Rodeback and Charles Rodeback, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He served in the US Army from 1958 to 1964 and was stationed in Munich, Germany as a clerk typist to the Battalion Commander. He was a true patriot saying that he loved this country and always got emotional during the National Anthem. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1973 at the age of 33 with his family, wife and 9-year-old daughter at his graduation. He started his career as an engineer and then changed his career to an accountant until he retired. He had a kind and gentle soul. He enjoyed all sports especially football and basketball and was a true Buckeye fan, but his favorite pastime was being with his family, especially his great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Alton Cemetery, located on Alton Darby Creek Road just south of Cypress Church.
