Lorene Reed, age 92, died Wednesday January 11, 2023. Lorene was born August 4, 1930 in Eastman, Ga and moved to Columbus, OH in 1946. She married Archie Reed on June 9, 1962
Lorene was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 29, 1962. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she loved the door-to-door ministry and teaching others about Jehovah.
Lorene is preceded in death by husband Archie Reed; parents Roy Sr and Tunnie Haynes; siblings Idora Little, Elnora Thompson, Roy Haynes Jr, Roger Haynes and Donald Haynes; granddaughters Lauren Crumpler and Shelby Crumpler.
She is survived by children Delores (Larry) Leftwich, Benjamin (Renee) Crumpler, Ervin Crumpler, Steven (Lynette) Crumpler, David Crumpler, Lenora Brackins (Rayford), Michael Crumpler and Dana (Ina) Crumpler; 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; siblings Eleanora Robinson, Tommie Austin, Tunnie Scott, Olin(Betty) Haynes, Clinton Haynes and Lois Andrews; close friends Irvin and Betty McKenzie and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
When Lorene wasn't in the ministry, she loved crocheting and giving crocheted items to family and friends. She also loved working in the yard and most people that knew her, knew she always had a beautiful yard, some would say the prettiest yard in the neighborhood.
Lorene was a beautiful person, not only on the outside, but she had a beautiful personality as well. She will be truly missed.
Services will be held in person and on Zoom.
