Joseph Frederick Gahn, age 80, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Saturday January 21, 2023. Joe was born August 13, 1942 to Joseph W. Gahn and Nellie (Bacon) Gahn.

Joseph was a member of the Airforce from September 24, 1962 to April 8, 1966. his main duty was plowing snow on the runways in Alaska.

Joe was a member of Galloway Presbyterian Church. He gave faithfully and went above and beyond to help others with donations to the local food pantry and also the American Red Cross.

He loved being with his family, going on trips with his wife, cooking and history. He wanted to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was ready to make the journey home.

He was married to Patricia A. Gahn for 52 wonderful years.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Patricia, daughters, Christine (Michael) Hayes, and Catherine (Steven) Prosser, grandchildren, Justin DeLozier, Aaron DeLozier, Ashley Hayes and Emily Hayes, cousin, Gene (Tom) Coleman.

Joe was proceeded in death by his mother Nellie Madeline (Bacon) Gahn and mother and father in-law, Irene and Henry Yates.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Red Cross.

Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, where funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Galloway Cemetery.
