Steven Lee Saurers, 67 of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with his Lord and Savior while surrounded by loved ones on March 4, 2023. He was born on January 30, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Donald and Anna Margaret Saurers. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Saurers who he married on February 14, 2003.
Steve is also survived by his children, Sean Saurers, Christina (Alex) Quinn, Christie Curtiss, Casey (Nicole) Keller, Jean (Boyd) McAffee and Denise (Jimi) Heisler. Grandchildren: Ian Weidner, Garett and Dakota Clark, David Lee Keller, Eric Lee Quinn, Gabby, Grant and Garrett McAffee, Danielle(Ryan) Rogers, Madison and Mason Heisler. Great-grandchildren, Jaylyne, Tinleigh and Delilah Weidner, Lucie and Knox Rogers. Sisters include Suzi (Greg) Nobis and Sandi Saurers.
Steve graduated from West High School in 1974. He loved playing baseball and wrestling. He moved to California after graduation and owned and operated a termite and pest control company for many years. He also worked as a mortgage broker and in various positions at Tru Green.
Steve loved to fish, golf and garden and was a friend to many where he lived at Hidden Lake Condominiums. Steve was very adventurous, loved to tell stories and loved being a Papaw and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Steve was also a huge Ohio State Buckeye football fan.
A service will not be held, Steve choose to be at his own celebration of life on August 6, 2022 where he was joined by his family from 5 states so together they could celebrate their Family, Love and Life. The memories from this day will be cherished forever.
