Cathy Quinn passed away peacefully Wednesday evening March 15, 2023 surrounded by family and friends at her hospital bedside.

Cathy is survived by her Husband Tom Quinn, children Keith, Shawn, Josh, Mandy, Ava, her best friend Ashley, and her grandchildren Jamie, Gavin, Dillon, Trinity, Rylee, Cooper and Shawn.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charles & Betty Gilbert, her sister Pam, her brother Tommy, and her beloved children Jamie and Kelsey.

Cathy was born June 21, 1959 in Huntington W VA. While young, the Gilbert family moved to Newport News, VA. Cathy and her family made many trips down the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It is here, while spending hours running up and down the 257 stairs of the Hatteras Lighthouse and fishing in the ocean with her father and brothers, that Cathy learned to love the ocean and especially the Outer Banks. Her draw to the Outer Banks was so strong that she was able to convince her family to try it. One trip was all it took, and after that her and her family spent many wonderful years vacationing down to the very place she spent as a child. Because of her declining health, the drive to NC became a difficult trek so the last two trips they flew to Florida where she was still able to spend many happy hours laying in the sun on the beach. She never got tired of soaking her feet in the ocean.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 22, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH from 11 am to 1 pm, followed by a brief service. Afterward Cathy will be taken to Sunset Cemetery where she will be placed next to her daughter Kelsey.
