Vernon Keith Williamson, 72, of Galena, passed away at home on May 18, 2023.

Keith was born January 3, 1951 in Williamson, WV to Billy Bruce and Gladys (Hewlett) Williamson.

Keith was a graduate from The Ohio State University ‘75 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He loved watching the Buckeye’s and could often be found wearing scarlet and gray. Professionally, he worked in the manufacturing sector, mainly with edible oils where he held leadership positions.

Keith was a proud girl dad who loved spending time with his three daughters. He made it a priority that his girls were involved in sports, had educational opportunities and offered his unwavering support always. There is very little doubt that Poppy (as his grandchildren referred to him) was always happy to see and dote on his grandchildren. It was easy to tell that Keith’s family was his pride and joy.

Often, he could be found mowing the lawn, drinking Mountain Dew, relaxing on the patio, watching tv, and thinking up smart, yet contrarian quips to share with the family trying to illicit laughs.

Keith will be forever missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah (Vance) Williamson.
Daughters, Shayla (Jim) McGuire, Heather (Christian) Henderson, and Lora (Jonathan) Farley.
Grandchildren, Elle Spencer, Hunter Rose McGuire, Evelynn Henderson, Wyatt Henderson, Emory Farley and Bodhi Farley.
Brother, Joe Williamson
Nephew, Chad Williamson

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Bruce and Gladys.
