George Arthur Griffin, 73, passed away May 20, 2023. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 21, 1950 to the late Jessie and Wanda Griffin. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy and furry companions, Stoney, Magellan, Ditto, Rocky, Shelly, Myrtle, and Cocoa. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Betty; children, Danielle, Jesse (Denice), and Eddie (Ashley) Griffin; grandchildren, Antonio, Devon, Maria, Jesse Jr, Ryan, Jadyn, Annalyn, Jackson, Erica, and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Harmony, Lorenzo, Giuseppe, Matteo, Adrianna, and Shawn; siblings, Nathan (Linda) Griffin, Sandy Gaston, Randy Griffin, Brian Griffin, and Scott Griffin; special friends, Monty Skinner, Bob Bracey, Steve and Beckie Korn, Lisa Seese, Donna Golden, and Debbie Smith.
George was a lifelong caretaker for many animals. He had a special place in his heart for the well-being and safety of many animals he rescued and fed.
George loved playing poker with his friends and family. He enjoyed working on projects around the house with his wife Betty. He enjoyed pool, golf, and fishing. George was a lifelong fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals.
