Michael embraced his father’s passion for cars at a young age. Working alongside his father, Michael quickly became skilled at his craft by turning his love of vehicles into a career. Michael’s knack to recall many details and historical knowledge regarding vehicles made him successful as a business owner,
master of car restoration, and teacher of mechanics. His hard work and commitment was unmatched and appreciated by all who worked alongside him over his career. Michael was a stead-fast employee with Germain Ford Collision Center for 27 years. When Michael wasn’t working, he enjoyed his avocation of post-war Lionel train collecting. Many who knew Michael, remember his love of train shows and the “wheeling and dealing” that went along with it. In recent years, Michael became an avid member of the Columbus Italian Club and enjoyed the camaraderie and Italian sport of bocce. In Michael’s spare time, he loved to spend time with his daughters and granddaughter in Illinois and travel to beaches as well as enjoy new cuisine with Vicki.
