Wayne A. Richardson, 70, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. His niece, Deb Gail, was by his side.
He was born on March 25, 1953 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Randall Richardson and Geneva Richardson.
Wayne is preceded in death by brothers, Ron Petty and Bill Richardson.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
Wayne was a cosmetologist for over 40 years. He attended The Ohio State School of Cosmetology. Sue Carter Moore was Wayne's instructor and dear friend. He met and became lifetime friends with Mike Puccetti. Wayne began his career at the Carolyn James Salon of Beauty. He then started at All That Hair in 1980. Soon after, Wayne and Don Gilmore became partners and purchased the salon.
Wayne was an excellent dancer and he loved teaching people to dance. He enjoyed spending time with numerous friends at Kelley's Pub and Patio.
Wayne' s family would like to give a special THANK YOU to Wayne’s roommate, Kathy McGlone, for her constant friendship and support throughout Wayne’s illness.
Many thanks to the staff at Riverside Hospital and Kobacker House. Wayne appreciated the wonderful care and kindness he received during his stay.
The family will have a Celebration of Life honoring Wayne on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Kelley's Pub and Patio, 1940 W. Henderson Rd, Columbus, OH, 43220.
