Adrian Hanes, 91, of Columbus, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017.
Adrian was born July 11, 1926 to Adrian and Mary (Clem) Hanes.
He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a retired teacher from the Columbus public school system. Avid softball player into his 80's.
He was married to Peggy (Becker) for 64 years.
Adrian will be deeply missed by his; children Tom (Amy) Hanes, and Bob (Keitha Bayliss) Hanes; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother Paul Ruble, and estranged son Steve (Ann) Hanes.
Along with his parents, Adrian was preceded in death by his wife, and grand-daughter Beverly, brothers Clarence, Bud, sister Helen.
Memorial services will be Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 2pm at the New Albany First Church of the Nazarene 6000 Johnstown Rd. New Albany, OH with Pastor Larry McNutt officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice 355 E. Campus View Blvd #270, Columbus, OH 43235. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
