Alaka Latie (Cook) Carroll born November 8, 1976 in Columbus, Ohio to Sandra Cook and William George Porter lll. She gained her wings to glory on September 27, 2020 at the Kobacker House.
Alaka was affectionately known by "Boo" to all that loved her.
Boo was educated by Columbus public school system, where she received her G.E.D. Boo loved people and wanted to help others so she furthered her education at Technical Educational College where she obtained her certificate as a Medical Assistant. Boo then attended AGAPE School of Theology where she received her Associate Degree in Theology.
Boo accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and baptized in the name of the Jesus at an early age. She always made Jesus the head of her life and the love for him in her heart.
Boo is preceded in death by her husband Jeffrey Carroll; grandparents Dorothy and Charles Williams Jr.; brother Quiami Cook; aunt Faye Rutland; and her uncle Arthur ("Artie") Williams.
She leave to cherish her memory daughters Mykayla Carroll (Christopher Garcia) and Champaigne Andrews; son Jeremiah Andrews; grandchildren Leighton and Ariyella Garcia; mother Elder Sandra Cook; sisters Carmenita Cook and Synetha Riley; brother La'Quan Riley; special partner Jerry Andrews; uncle Steven Williams; aunts Yvonne, Rosetta and Ellen Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home - 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus - OH. Burial will follow in procession to Evergreen Cemetery, Columbus - OH.
