Alan Curtis Ackerman, Grove City ,Passed away suddenly surrounded by loved ones at Doctors West Hospital on Friday May 30th, 2025. He was 63.

Alan was born and raised in Oregon, Ohio to Carl and Virginia Ackerman . As a child he worked on the family farm, and attended Clay High School. He later moved to Columbus, Ohio to found Central Ohio Concrete Cutting, Inc alongside his friend Raymond Drake, where he dedicated the rest of his life to the company.

He is preceded in death by his wife Carol, his brother Carl "Butch" Jr, and his parents.

He is survived by his son Andrew (Lara), his daughters, Ashley Henry, Anna (Chris) Taylor, his sisters Jenny (Art) Souder, Susan Hay, Christine Bennett, and his beloved dog Jester .

Alan will be remembered for his love of cooking, volunteering in the service of others, his passion for traveling and camping in the hills of Appalachia.

Alan had asked there be no funeral service following his death. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
