Alan Eugene Scott, age 69, of Grove City, OH, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2018.
Born June 29, 1949 in Canton, OH to the late Herb and Consuella (Christian) Scott. Alan has been a member of Amazing Grace Christian Church, Grove City, serving as a greeter, deacon, and choir member. Alan had the gift of hospitality and he welcomed new people from the church to his home for a home cooked meal twice a month. (He was an exceptional cook.) He also enjoyed wood crafts and had many talents.
Alan is survived by wife, Kay (Bayes) Scott; daughter, Amber Scott; and sister, April Scott. He was preceded in death by parents and brothers, Bruce and Dan Scott.
Visitation Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 from 9:30am until the time of Funeral Service 11:30am at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery (new), Grove City, OH.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions to Amazing Grace Christian Church, 2255 Quail Creek Blvd., Grove City, OH 43123.
