Aleta Jo Curtis

Aleta Jo Curtis, 77, of Westerville, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2024. She was born in Columbus on January 12, 1947, to the late Henry F. and Beatrice L. (Eckhardt) Walkowicz, Sr.

Those left to cherish Aleta’s memory include daughter, Alethia “Joey” (Lisa Maniscalco) Curtis; grandchild, Callan; siblings, Mary Ann Leach and Lori “Susie” Walkowicz-Haines, and many other family members and friends. Aleta was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Henry. 

As well as being a caring mom to Joey, Aleta at one point worked for the United States Postal Service and later an undisclosed title for the State of Ohio until her retirement. Aleta was a reserved person, but loved spending time with her friends at the community center. She loved drawing and playing cards. In her youth, she enjoyed swimming and was a beautiful diver.
