Alka Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, 73, of Groveport, Ohio moved on to Heaven Friday, November 18, 2016. She was born to Morton and Hattie Holbrook on December 7, 1942 in Hilliard, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Wedsel Holbrook, James Holbrook, Myrtle Houser, John Holbrook, LueVernie McCullum, Herma May Holbrook, Joseph Holbrook, Robert Holbrook and great-grandson, Judah Fitzpatrick.
Alka is survived by her husband of 55 years, Howard Fitzpatrick; sons, Bill (Lisa) Fitzpatrick and Ken Fitzpatrick; grandsons, Joshua (Laura) Fitzpatrick and Ryan (Caitlyn) Fitzpatrick; great-grandchildren, Rachel Fitzpatrick and Will Fitzpatrick; siblings, George (Carol) Holbrook and Martha Adams as well as a host of family members and friends who will miss Alka deeply.
Alka enjoyed a full life. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to travel, cook, and her laughter was contagious. She was a hard worker, foster parent, school bus driver, entrepreneur and house flipper. She loved her church family here and in Florida. She had a deep faith, loved the Lord and served Him faithfully.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Pastor Tim Stout and Pastor Shawn Beauchamp as well as the Mt. Carmel team for their special care and support during their time of need.
A visitation will be held at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, 575 Obetz Road, Columbus, Ohio 43207 on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 also at the church. Burial will follow at Fernwood Cemetery, 460 Rowe Road, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137.
